a japanese guy who made a bunch of creepy pasta videos a long time ago (you’ve probably seen Youtube666, he made that) is playing through minecraft for the first time and he’s not using any guides or anything other than the in-game guidebook and he’s fucking. doing it in such a buddhist way.
like, he’s so patient and detached from all of the stuff he’s gotten.
in the newest episode he destroyed 14566 blocks of bridge and blew up his original house just because he learned about xyz coordinates by accidentally pressing F5 and he wanted his house to be at the X:0 coordinate.

look at this absolute fucking massive hole.
and it’s not like “HELLOOOOO EVERYBODY WHAT IS UP, TODAY WE’RE GONNA BE PLAYING MIIIIIINECRAAAAFT” he’s just like. a quiet 30 year old japanese man who speaks very precisely and politely. and he even does his own english captions which are overlayed on the video and he uses emoticons like (0u0)/
he’s so wonderful and cute.

i’ve been keeping track of piropito’s minecraft series since the beginning and i can promise you all 76 episodes and counting are well worth the watch because it’s incredible the LENGTHS this guy goes to learn and explore without help from others.
some highlights:
-spends literal HOURS upon HOURS building these long, seemingly endless bridges because he wants to reach “the ends of the earth”
-around episode 40, he’s learned the ins and outs of redstone but doesn’t realize you can sleep in your bed.
-the noises he makes when he’s afraid of enemies/dies are precious and gentle and not at all what you’d expect from a famous horror artist
-spends hours trading resources with villagers to get glass only to find out almost 50 episodes in that you can make glass from sand
-destroys several mountains of sand in the desert to not only fuel his love for glass, but also because “explosions are sugoi 0u0″
-sees a silverfish and
-builds a giant “machine” that runs on redstone, minecarts, and pistons that pushes colored sand through a massive glass window. it doesn’t do anything, it just pushes all the blocks to the bottom and breaks after a few minutes. piro seems very pleased with it.
-makes these complex shapes/structures in an attempt to create a nether portal, doesn’t realize it’s just a rectangle
-a fan made a skin just for him, complete with 0u0 face
-falls in lava multiple times, never gives up
-builds a giant coin pusher game for funsies
-NANI KORE?
-in short i beg of you to watch this gentle man play minecraft blind it’s so fascinating
To all the horror fans out there, they made My house walk-through which is probably one of the creepiest videos I’ve seen in a while and it doesn’t have jumpscares

i like to think that even if the batkids aren’t blood related, they still have mannerisms they picked up from each other and bruce that makes people go “u guys are definitely related”
they all have dick’s shit eating grin. they all do bruce’s “hn” when tired or annoyed. they all have a flair for the dramatic. they all get super animated when talking about something that interests them. jason’s glare? the other kids have an unsettling similar glare to it.
it’s easy for some people to forget they aren’t blood related because they’re all just so clearly family.
OK more cause this is my favorite topic I think Jason should be deeply unsettling and unnatural even if he looks mostly normal I think he should have horrendous hair-raising vibes and being near him should give you a horrible chill I think animals should hiss and growl and snarl at him like crazy and I think if you see him out of the corner of your eye you might get jumpscared because for half a second he looked like a decaying corpse and/or Halloween yard decoration because the versions of him that are dead and alive are simultaneously existing right on top of each other and sometimes you accidentally see past one and into the other.
Jason visits Park Row regularly. He checks up on the people he grew up with.
He donates around half of all of the money he makes from jobs and pretty much all of the money he made from when he practically ran the Gotham drug trade during UtRH to places he knows actually helps the lower class.
Seriously. This guy donated half of it to the various shelters and soup kitchens in the depths of Gotham anonymously.
Speaking of donations, Jason donates clothes a lot. At least once a month, the shelters will get anonymous donations of clothes and shoes, because Jason knows what it’s like to have to make one set of clothes last because you never know when you’ll get the chance to have new ones.
He still wears his own shoes into the ground. It’s a habit he never breaks. Sometimes people can spot the duct tape holding the soles of his boots on while he’s working, and for a moment, it reminds some of the folks in the lower-income areas of that kid they knew that died a while back but was always nice to them. They miss him, sometimes.
Jason misses them too, for his part. That’s why he does all he can to take care of the lower class via direct aid. Bruce’s donations to the charities don’t have as much of a trickle-down effect as he thinks, but Jason knows. He lived that life.
On a lighter note, sometimes the teenagers in the alleys will play music while they’re trying to make the best of life. Occasionally, they’ll catch Red Hood chilling on a rooftop nodding his head to the music. (This is especially common when some of the teenagers are learning lyrics to rap music. East coast rap is absolutely Jason’s favorite type of music.)
Sex-workers love Red Hood. Not for the reason most people think, either. Jason has a habit of defending them, of giving them money and sending them home for the night, and more than once he’s handled a rather… unsavory type for them.
Jason has pretty much carved out that area of Gotham as his territory. Every batkid has the area they call theirs and patrol more regularly than others. The rest of the family knows that if there’s trouble in Park Row especially, they’re to send Jason work immediately.
ok so I was looking at some of your older ask-box posts, and on a post where you were asked if you shipped all versions of dickkory, you said yes bc of how Dick has changed in comics from the 80's to now (becoming less self serious, more fun-loving). So he has improved for the better bc of Kory.
Then you said AND VICE VERSA (!) And I love the ship...but can you give me examples of how Kory has changed over the years? Honestly the only "development" I've seen is the writers making her a floozy so readers will ship dickxbabs ):
Kory’s development is harder to pin down but I tend to sum it up as, “Dick makes her more rational and merciful.”
Early NTT Kory was very impulsive and had no compunctions about killing her opponents. Dick’s code against killing rubbed off on Kory eventually, and she started pulling her punches for his sake. As she drew him out of his emotional constipation she also kind of met him in the middle and became a little bit more mellow and restrained. She’s still vivacious and emotionally open in modern iterations, but it’s a bit tempered, and she’s a little more serious.
She also gains confidence from him. Kory tended to be a bit insecure about being an alien on a foreign planet, but Dick helped her become more comfortable and helped her adjust to Earth. She’s a lot more “integrated”, shall we say, in her modern incarnations.
Obviously as with all comics, different writers zig zag and play around with her characterization both positively and negatively but that’s been the overall general trend I’ve seen.
